今日、海外オークションのeBayでSTIレバー（Dura-ace ST-7400）を落札しました。
狙っていた商品であり、終了1秒前の入札で勝てたのでスリリングで楽しかった。
過去eBayでは終了直前（1〜3秒前）に涙を飲むことが珍しくなかったので、
溜飲を下げる思いでした。
落札後、Paypalで落札代金を決済しようとしたところ、
落札代金（86ドル）と送料（30.4ドル）の他に関税（10.19ドル）が含まれている。
関税を払うこと自体は了解出来るのですが商品の発送前に払ったのは今回が初めて。
金額がわかるものなのかな？
疑問を持ちつつPayPalで支払った。
すると決済完了のメールがPayPalから来たので目を通すと、

eBayと提携した輸入代行業者か？
どうやらeBayのGlobal shipping Programらしい。

Payments for the Global Shipping Program
The Global Shipping Program is a shipping solution that helps your international purchases on eBay clear customs and get delivered to you more quickly and efficiently.
If the item you purchased was shipped through the Global Shipping Program, the final price you paid at the time of purchase includes the total price of your item plus shipping, handling and import charges. PayPal separated this total price into 2 payments: one to your seller and one to the shipment company, Pitney Bowes.
You will see these 2 payments listed separately on your PayPal transactions page but there’s nothing you need to do. These 2 payments together equal the same total price you agreed to pay at the time of purchase – you were not charged more than this amount.
How your payment was divided
The seller received payment for the price of the item plus the price of shipping to Pitney Bowes, the shipping provider located in the U.S. Pitney Bowes received payment for import charges and the price of shipping and handling from the U.S. to your delivery address.
For example:Purchase from seller:
$100 – Price of item
$15 – Shipping and handling1 ($5 shipping within U.S. + $10 shipping and handling from the U.S. to your delivery address)
$10 – Import charges2

要は北米のセラーと海外のバイヤーを橋渡しするサービスを提供しているということらしい。
セラーは国内配送のみ責任を負えばOK。
eBay（Pitney Bowes）が物流の中継点になり海外のバイヤーへ発送する仕組み。
関税も計算するシステムになっている。
北米のセラーがオプションとして採用すれば自動的にシステムが作動するらしい。
つまりバイヤーには選択権がない。
うーん、こんなサービスがあったとは知らなかった。
確かに北米のセラーには国外発送NGの人が少なくなかったので、
このサービスを利用することで海外のバイヤーを相手にすることができるようになるわけ。
商品はある程度限られるようですが。
